Law enforcement officers found the body of a newborn baby boy at the Bellville public transport interchange yesterday afternoon.
Law enforcement spokesman Wayne Dyason said the officers had been patrolling at just after 4pm when members of the public alerted them to a “suspicious bundle” in a bin.
Officers found the fully formed newborn wrapped in a black sweater.
The ambulance service was called but they declared the baby dead.
