Traffic police seized drugs, a hammer, bank cards and an imitation gun after arresting two men for reckless driving in Voortrekker Road.
Officers pursued the men on Voortrekker Road on Monday morning June 20 after they were seen driving recklessly, says mayoral committee member for safety and security JP Smith.
“The two men were arrested after the officers found an imitation firearm, mandrax, tik and an assortment of bank cards in their possession,“ he said.
The driver of the vehicle was also charged with driving recklessly and both men were detained at Goodwood police station.
The men had been caught with a bankie of tik and half a mandrax tablet, said Goodwood police spokesman Captain Wayne Theunis.
Metro police also arrested a motorist for drunk driving in Vootrekker Road Goodwood, on Saturday June 18.
