The Kraaifontein police conducted a nine-hour blitz focused on confiscating drugs and clamping down on those disturbing the peace, on Thursday March 3.
Operation Lockdown members took to the streets between 3.30pm and midnight, arresting seven suspects for possession of drugs and 12 for disturbing the peace. During the operation, 13 premises, two vehicles and 64 people were searched, while substantial amounts of dagga, mandrax and cash were found, according to Captain FC Van Wyk, provincial police spokesman.
The suspects were due to appear in the Kuils River Magistrate’s Court on Monday March 7, facing charges of possession of drugs.
