■ Brackenfell police collected clothing and food and donated it to Helpende Hand as part of its National Police Day celebrations on Friday January 27. The day marks the promulgation of the South African Police Service Act, Act 68 of 1995. The Northern News Kuils River/Brackenfell/Kraaifontein (formerly the Tygertalk Kuils River) was established in 1996 and rebranded as the Northern News Kuils River/Brackenfell/Kraaifontein in 2015. This long established popular community title includes the key shopping centres Zevenwacht Mall, Kraaifontein Shopping Centre and Cape Gate Shopping Centre within its distribution area.
