But Erica Roman took to the Kuils River Community News & Information Facebook page, sending her condolences to the family of the deceased.
She posted: “ To the Family of the young man stabbed and killed on the doorstep of the shop in Jagtershof yesterday, our sincere condolences. He was only 19 and killed in a senseless act of what seems an act of jealousy because of a girl. I believe he Matriculated and who knows what he could have achieved.
His mother stood there at the shop while they cleaned his blood of the steps and I cannot get her face out of my mind nor can i ever imagine what she is going through.
“I have a 19-year-old daughter too and her safety keeps me up at night along with her sisters.
“The person that committed this horrendous act has changed so many lives including his own in a split second.
“Please be vigilant kids, stay safe, run away from danger. Your parents love you more than you will ever know they just want you to come home safely everyday.”
