The City of Cape Town conducted public and door-to-door screening for coronavirus in Fisantekraal today, but residents say that no houses were visited and that the screening facilities at the Fisantekraal library and clinic were only visited by a handful of residents.Â
Franklin Geduld, a resident of Fisantekraal, said: “The screening has been at the clinic and the library for the entire day but there has been very little people attending. People are all following the rules and staying home but they are not going to the screening because very few know about it.”Â
Mr Geduld added that the community was, however, trying to spread the message via social media.Â
The City did not respond to Northern News’ request for comment on the matter.
