67 blankets

■ A group of Morningstar women is knitting 67 blankets for the poor for Mandela Day next year. Nine women started the project two months ago and the group now has 22 members. So far, the women have knitted 30 blankets, but Morningstar Action Group chairman Moosa Raise says they need wool as well as crochet and knitting needles.
