A Kraaifontein police officer was hospitalised after being shot in Wallacedene at the weekend.
According to Kraaifontein police spokesman Captain Hein Hendricks, the occupant of a silver Toyota Corolla (CA 115963)Â fired on two officers who pulled the vehicle over on the corner of Boesak Road and Ntongana Street, Wallacedene, on Saturday August 22. A 45-year-old sergeant was hit in the stomach, rib and right leg.Â
A 30-year-old constable escaped injury.
