Two men, aged 29 and 39, have been arrested for an armed robbery at a Brackenfell convenience-store.
Police say an off-duty Brackenfell policeman caught the men in the
act at the Arauna Street store on Saturday, July 11.
According to police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk, the armed
men fled in a white Toyota Camry, but they were later found at a location in Mfuleni and subsequently arrested.
A 9mm Norinco pistol, one magazine and 15 rounds of ammunition
were recovered. The car had been stolen in
Durbanville last month, police said.
