The Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust is a recipient charity of Clarence Ford and Alistair Izobell’s virtual musical production, Radio Classics.
It is being screened online, from 8pm on Friday July 17 to 10pm on Sunday July 19 and access to the feed costs R75.
The production ran for 14 weeks at the Baxter Theatre in 2012 merging the radio, music and theatre. Izobell, one of the few recipients of the Sir Lawrence Olivier Award, for performance art, will take centre stage during the two-hour production, and there will be an eight-piece band along with guest performances from Leslie Kleinsmith, Nur Abrahams, Terry Fortune, Mujahid George and others.
Sharing the spotlight is radio presenter Clarence Ford who has 30 years of radio experience.Â
Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust will receive a percentage of ticket sales.Â
