Now that all the political noise is over, I would like to congratulate all those who have won seats as councillors in the greater Kraaifontein area for their various political parties during the local elections on Wednesday August 3.
The time has come for us to form a strong partnership for sports development in greater Kraaifontein. The greater sports council of Kraaifontein has resolved to work with the City of Cape Town, Western Cape provincial government, sub-councils, sports and recreation departments and the national government.
Our main focus is to get covered stadiums at Eikendal, Bloekombos, Scottsdene and Wallacedene sports grounds.
We would like to invite them all for area visits to personally view the bad state of our sports facilities. “A child in sport is a child out of court.”
