Goodwood police arrested one man for being in the possession of dagga with a street value of R15 000 and two men for stealing two emergency medical services bags out of a car. On Wednesday March 24, at 10.50am, Sergeant André Brandt and Constable Lucinda Goodman responded to a complaint of drug-dealing at the corners of De Villiers Street and Milton Road, Goodwood.
Lieutenant Waynne Theunis, communications officer at Goodwood police, said a 30-year -old man was found with 10 kilograms of dagga worth R15 000. He appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on charges of being in possession of drugs.
* On Monday March 21, at around 11.30am, Warrant Officer Jaques Pieters and Constable Justin Mentoor followed up information about two men walking close to the Elsies River railway station with two emergency medical services bags.
When the police asked the men about the bags they could not account for it.
Warrant Officer Pieters then called EMS in Goodwood who confirmed the two bags had been stolen out of an employee’s car.
The men were arrested and appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday March 23 on charges of stealing out of a car.
