A foetus was found dumped in a municipal bin in front of a block of flats in Voortrekker Road, Bellville on Friday June 23. Bellville police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Henrietta van Niekerk said somebody called the police about it at 10.30am.
“The foetus was wrapped in a cloth with a flower print on it,” she said.
Warrant Officer Van Niekerk said such cases were “few and far between”. There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
