Camerata Tinta Barocca will present a concert of baroque music to celebrate the launch of the 2019 Cape Town Baroque Festival (CTBF).

The 60-minute concert on Wednesday July 3 at Youngblood Gallery, in Bree Street, will give a taste of what to expect at this year’s festival and brings together long-time festival musicians, including sopranos Lynelle Kenned and Elsabé Richter; Annien Shaw and Refiloe Olifant on baroque violins; Emile de Roubaix on baroque viola; and Joshua Frank on recorder. The programme will be directed from the harpsichord by CTBF artistic director Erik Dippenaar.

They will play music by Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Handel, Bach and Uccellini among others.

The restaurant at Youngblood will be open for food and drinks from 6.30pm and the show starts at 8pm.

Tickets cost R150 through Webtickets or at the door. Email visit www.ctbar for more information.
