As part of Heritage Month, Tygerberg Hospital hosted their heritage celebration on Thursday September 22 at the Disa Hall on the Tygerberg estate. The event was held to celebrate and share the different cultures that call Tygerberg Hospital home.
Each department was set to represent specific cultures and the cultures represented were: Indian, Zulu, Rugby, Xhosa, and Mother City culture. Each group was set to prepare cultural cuisine, do a traditional dance accompanied by music and explain their represented cultures.
This was hosted by Kingsley Lerato Mentor and Olivia Amsterdam. The newly-formed Tygerberg Hospital choir graced the audience as well as other musical talents like: the Undertaker Cultural Group and The Rockets.
It was an overall engaging and electric event that had everyone smiling all around and finding appreciation for the cultures of others, embracing the spirit of Ubuntu.
