Police have arrested two men who allegedly tried to steal a trailer from a home in Protea Heights.
According to Brackenfell police spokeswoman Captain Erica Crous, the suspects, aged 24 and 48, pulled up next to the Taaibos Close house in a white Isuzu bakkie, on Thursday morning October 17.
“They attempted to steal a trailer which was standing behind a steel gate,” she said.
But Sector 2 commander Sergeant Kobus Grobler, who was patrolling the area, spotted the suspects and arrested them.
The men had tried to steal the same trailer earlier this month, when a domestic worker had taken down the registration number of the suspects’ bakkie, said Captain Crous.
