Police made three arrests and seized drugs at a house in Goodwood after a man standing in front of it was found hiding mandrax in his mouth.
According to Goodwood police spokesman Captain Waynne Theunis, Metro police officers were responding to a complaint in Versfeld Street on Monday August 12, at 2.40pm, when they saw one of the two men in front of the house put something in his mouth.
“Police then found a plastic bag containing mandrax tablets in the suspect’s mouth,” he said.
Police searched the house and found 38 mandrax tablets, 10.71g of tik, 33.94g of dagga and 362.15g of cocaine.
The drugs had an estimated street value of R100 000.
Police arrested three men at the house on drug charges.
