Goodwood police arrested three men on Tuesday October 2, after they were found with one packet of tik, one mandrax tablet and one tik lollie containing tik.
Goodwood police spokesman Captain Waynne Theunis said the men were arrested in Anderson Street during a stop-and-search operation.
Officers searching a VW Golf with three occupants, in Van Riebeeck Street, on Wednesday October 3, at 8am, found a packet of tik.
“While busy with the search, one of the suspects attacked one of the officers with a knife. After a struggle, the knife was confiscated,” said Captain Theunis.
Goodwood police arrested two men for being in the possession of a stolen cellphone on Saturday September 29 at 3.50am.
Officers acting on a tip-off seized more than 1 600 mandrax tablets and arrested two women in Parow.
The drug haul was found at two addresses in Duncan Street on Sunday September 30, at 8.30pm. At the first premises, officers arrested a 31-year-old woman who was found with 1 050 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R63 000.
Officers then arrested a 28-year-old woman, at a second premises in the same street, for being in possession of 630 mandrax tablets worth an estimated R37 800.
