* A motorbike rider, believed to be in his 50s, was killed on Friday May 6 at the intersection of Carl Cronje and Frans Conradie drives, Bellville. ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said: “It is understood that a truck collided with the rider and dragged him for several metres underneath the truck. Despite all efforts, they were unable to revive the man.”
The cause of the collision will be investigated by the police.
