The BMW Society Club, from Scottsdene, spread more goodwill over the weekend when it delivered two food hampers to people in need in Strand.
The club’s members are from the northern and southern suburbs. The next drive will be on Saturday April 7 at a children’s home in Mfuleni.
“Most of the people in the community are unemployed and are unable to provide for their basic needs,” said club secretary Leane Leibrandt.
“We are not in need of money, we only desperately need food, clothes, school clothes and basic necessities. We rely on our own sponsorships and donations. We are planning on doing better and greater things for our communities because all we want to do is give back to them.”
