According to statement from the City of Cape Town, the interruption will occur from noon to 4pm on Tuesday, weather permitting. In case of bad weather, it will be postponed to Thursday, sticking to the same time slot.
The areas that will be affected include De Kuilen, Bosonia, Highbury, Klipdam, Kuils River Industria, Jagtershof, Silveroaks, Haasendal, Eikenbosch, Zevenwacht and surrounds.
Mayco member for energy and climate change Phindile Maxiti said the supply could be restored at any time, and all electrical installations should be treated as live throughout the interruption.
