Two men were killed in the early hours of Saturday April 16, after a head-on collision between two vehicles on the N1 between the Oak and Durban road off-ramps.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said paramedics had arrived shortly after 2.30am to find both vehicles in the fast lane. One was burning, and firefighters had to put out the fire before paramedics could reach the two drivers, who had both been fatally injured, one trapped in the burned wreck.
“It is believed one vehicle drove onto the wrong direction of the highway, causing the collision,” Mr Meiring said.
