A home was burgled in the early hours of Friday morning January 20, at the Bergsig Complex in Springfontein Street, Stellenberg.
Durbanville police spokesman Captain Marchelle Rhode said a suitcase, laptop, laptop bag, a TomTom GPS device and watch were taken. Captain Rhode said they are investigating a house robbery case.
“The incident occurred around 4.40am. The suspects gained entry through the door which was closed but not locked.”
No arrest has been made yet.
* A crowbar gang broke into a Vineyard Street home, in Ridgeworth, just before noon on Wednesday January 18.
The intruders took a TV and a camera and its lenses. Bellville police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Henrietta van Niekerk said the robbers had forced open the door and security gate to get inside.
“Crowbar gang activities have been quiet since last year in this specific area,” she said.
