Chairperson disappointed with turnout

Only two residents pitched up for a Monte Vista Neighbourhood Watch clean-up of a field off Montague Drive on Saturday June 25. Watch chairwoman Lee Jepson said she was disappointed with the turn-out after she had encouraged the community to take part. “Yet so many residents moan about the shocking state of the place. When you ask for help – no one pitches up. We got stuck in and served our community,” said Ms Jepson. However, she remains positive and said the clean-up was one baby step in the right direction.
