Durbanville’s Christiaan Coetzee was one of the top achievers in the City’s Education, Training and Development Programme for 2016/2017. Mr Coetzee has been working at the City for the past nine years and currently works in the Transport and Urban Development Authority. He holds a degree in public management. “The programme is helping to enhance the skills of our employees, which will in turn help them to improve the standard of service delivery to residents. In order to transform this organisation, employees have to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills,” said Mayoral committee member for corporate services, Raelene Arendse. Mr Coetzee hopes that his achievement will motivate his colleagues to also enrol at an academic institution and equip themselves with additional knowledge and skills.
