The SA Civil Aviation Authority is investigating after two men, aged 25 and 31, were seriously injured when a light aircraft crashed near Kraaifontein on Tuesday morning.
The Piper PA-28A Cherokee came down in the Bottelary area at around 11.30am after leaving Cape Town International Airport, said SA Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Sisa Majola.
Investigators had been sent to the scene to gather evidence, he said.
“A preliminary report will be issued within 30 days from the day of the incident.“
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk, said Kraaifontein police were investigating the incident.
