Police are searching for four men in a white Toyota Avanza linked to the slaying of a 54-year-old taxi owner in Fisantekraal, yesterday, May 27, at 7am.
The man was a member of the Cape Amalgamated Taxi Association (CATA) and was on his way to a meeting in Bellville when he was killed, said Durbanville police spokesman Captain Marchell Rhode.
Two men entered the victim’s Shiraz Ebrahim Street property through an open garage door, as he was leaving for his meeting, and fired several shorts. He died on the scene.
According to witnesses, say police, the shooters climbed into the Avanza, joining two men already in the vehicle.
