Over the next three months, the Bridgetown Theatre Company will perform Teach One 2 Teach All at halls, schools and community centres across the city. The production is a collection of three 20-minute plays about issues affecting young people. High on Life, directed by Noxolo Sipondo, is a musical dance drama that deals with youth threatened by gangsterism and drugs. A Mother’s Love, directed by Carren Davids, is a drama dealing with sexual abuse; suicide; and racial and religious tolerance at school. U bully, directed by Meagan Booysen, is a physical theatre drama dealing with bullying at schools. All three shows, which are written and produced by Theo E Davids, are interactive and there is a Q&A afterwards. During the intervals, audience members can take part in two-minute talent shows and win a prize. The productions will be at Scottsdene recreational centre, on Monday October 2, at 11am and at the FF Erasmus recreation centre in Scottsville, on Tuesday October 3, at 1.30pm.
