The Ripped Genes 2019 Music Concert takes place on Saturday December 7 at the Artscape, from 3pm to 5pm.
This year’s show features blind and sighted artists in a range of musical genres, dance, art and fashion under the direction of producer Natalia da Rocha. Among the musical talent are jazz and classical singer Michelle Botha; songbird and radio personality Bonita Blankenberg; piano maestro Rodney van Staden and, back from last year, Noeha Fortune Waja and world music duo Mystacrispi.
The concert is a fund-raiser hosted by Retina SA Cape Town, a non-profit voluntary organisation raising awareness of retinal blindness as well as raising funds for research to find a cure for retinal blindness.
Tickets cost R120 and are available at Computicket and the Artscape Box Office at 021 421 7839. Pensioners and students pay R80.
