He’s Alive auditions

Auditions will be held for He’s Alive, a play about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, on Saturday January 27 at Goodwood Presbyterian Church, Macdonald Street, Goodwood, at 2.30pm. There are 34 speaking roles for the annual Passion Play Ministries production. These include Jesus, disciples, Pilate, high priests Caiaphas and Annas, the Sanhedrin, temple guards and merchants, Roman soldiers, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Salome the mother of James and John, Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist, Hannah an ardent believer in Jesus Christ, an Angel, lady accusers and questioners. There are also singing roles and for these auditions you can prepare an item and take a backing track. They also require men and women to make up the crowd on stage, as well as backstage crew for the production. The performances will take place at the Bellville civic centre from Wednesday April 4 until Sunday April 8. Rehearsals will take place on Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
