Women from diverse cultures and backgrounds will come together to share their life experiences during a special Women’s Day event at Den Anker restaurant, at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town on Saturday August 10.
The event will be held from 8am to 11am. One of the six women who will share their stories is Letshego Zulu, widow of adventurer and motor racing driver Gugu Zulu who died just before summiting Mount Kilimanjaro with the Trek 4 Mandela expedition in 2016. Her book, I Choose to Live, Life after losing Gugu, recounting the tragedy and her efforts to come to terms with it, has just been published.
Tickets cost R200 and the proceeds will benefit two charities: The Justice Desk, which focuses on empowering women, and the Imbumba Foundation which invests in education and development of the girl child.
