Woman flung out of car

A 24-year-old woman was injured after being flung out of a car that capsized during a collision in Kroonenberg Square, early morning on Sunday May 8.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found that two cars had collided.

Ms Bodasing said the woman had been found close to the overturned car but the driver of the car was not found on the scene.

“Upon assessment of the driver of the other car, believed to be 55 years of age, it was found that he sustained moderate injuries.

“Both patients were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care,” said Ms Bodasing.

She said that the exact cause of the incident is still unknown, and authorities are investigating.
