Water supply disrupted

Zero pressure tests will disrupt water supply in parts of Bellville.

The water supply in Bellville South, Beroma, Glenhaven, La Biance and Kasselsvlei will be disrupted from 8pm today, June 2, until 2am tomorrow, Wednesday June 3 and then again from 8pm on Thursday June 4 at 8pm till 2am on Friday June 5. 

According to a statement from the City’s department of water and sanitation, zero pressure tests will be conducted in the areas and water supply will disrupted. 

“Residents are advised to store water in clean sealed containers for use during this period. They should also ensure their taps are closed during this period to avoid water loss or damage when the water supply is restored.”

The statement adds that the tests are being done to manage water pressure more effectively and reduce the possibility of pipe bursts and water wastage.
