Durbanville police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a garage burglary still searching for the culprit behind a burglary in  a suspect involved in a house breaking and theft case that took place last month in  that happened in Kontiki Street, Stellenryk, last month.

The homeowner came home to find that his garage door had been forced open and contents stolen, including a grinder, guitar, weed eater and other smaller tools.

Police want to question a man who was spotted from the homeowner’s private video.

Meanwhile, over the last few months, the Durbanville Police have noticed an increase in burglaries of businesses on farms. 

Durbanville police spokesperson Captain Marchell Rhode said: “Farms on the following roads are being targeted, Adderly Road, Vissershok Road, Hoogelegen Road, Tygerbergvalley Road, Contermanskloof Road, Klein Roosboom Road and Klipheuwel Road.”

He said 28 such cases had been reported.
 
“Twenty eight cases have been reported at Durbanville police station in the past five months. Most of the break-ins occurred during the night time.” 

Captain Rhode added the thieves were entering the properties by forcing doors open and cutting alarm. Security cameras had been stolen or damaged.  
Any suspicious activities must be reported to the police.
