Volunteers clear litter from Elizabeth Park

It took more than 40 volunteers from the Save the Earth from A to Z (ASEZ) group to clear Elizabeth Park.

Volunteers have filled 50 garbage bags with litter cleared from Elizabeth Park in Bellville.

More than 40 members of Save the Earth from A to Z (ASEZ) joined the clean-up at the park, near Bellville library, on Sunday November 21.

“The members split into groups of two and collected cigarette butts, glass bottles, plastic cups, and pieces of tissue,“ said the group’s spokeswoman, Nokukhanya Ndlovu.

The City provided brooms and garbage bags for the clean-up.

Save the Earth from A to Z (ASEZ) members Zeruah Augustus, Namhla Poni and Itumeleng Mohau took part in the clean-up.
