Veggie garden

The volunteers at the Scottsville community office are planting a garden that they hope will boost their soup kitchen. The office, in Dahlia Steet, runs a soup kitchen once a month. Currently sponsors provide the soup and Yvonne Fryer, who works in the office, said the plan is to boost this with the yield from the garden. They also plan to give vegetables to the elderly who come to the seniors’ club every Monday. Pictured are volunteers working in the garden.
