Two girls, aged 3 and 12, died after they were hit by a bakkie in Botfontein Road, Kraaifontein, on Monday April 16, at 5pm.
ER24’s Russel Meiring said paramedics had found the girls’ lying in the road with fatal injuries.
“Paramedics assessed both children and found that they had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.”
The bakkie had been parked a short distance away. The driver espaced injury.
Provincial police spokesman Captain FC Van Wyk said police were investigating a culpable homicide case.
