Tygerberg Hospice in Bellville will hold its Tree of Lights ceremony at the Kuils River Community Church on Thursday December 5, at 7pm, to help families commemorate the lives of loved ones who have died.
There is free entry to the ceremony
The non-profit organisation has provided palliative care for more than 20 years and opened an office at the church in Amandelsig in February 2021.
The hospice provides free support to those who cannot afford it, and the Tree of Lights ceremony will also be a fund-raiser, according to operations manager Shantal Burns.
For R60 and upwards, members of the public can buy a light to be placed on the tree, and they can also dedicate a personal message to their loved ones.

There will be food vendors at the event, and the public can take picnic baskets and blankets.
