Traffic on R300 might be affected by scheduled maintenance work

The SA National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) has warned that traffic on the R300 might be affected by scheduled maintenance.

The work is expected to take place until Wednesday May 31 and carried out at night, from 7pm to 5am.

Preparation activities, such as crack sealing and patching, will start at the Swartklip interchange on the R300 northbound lanes and proceed in a northerly direction toward the Stellenberg interchange. From there, work will continue in a southerly direction on the southbound carriageway from the Stellenberg to the Swartklip Interchange.

“On completion of the preparation activities on the R300 northbound and southbound carriageways, asphalt overlay work will commence on the N1 Stellenberg and N2 Swartklip interchanges, as well as the on-ramps and off-ramps of Hindle Road, Stellenbosch Arterial, Van Riebeeck Road and Old Paarl Road,” said Sanral Western Cape manager Kobus van der Walt.

The interchanges and on-and off-ramps will be affected from about Thursday June 1 to Friday December 15.
