A joint operation by Metro police officers, Parow police and members of the community police forum and neighbourhood watch resulted in drugs worth more than R100 000 being confiscated at the old Home Affairs building in King Edward Street today.
This is the third bust this month during which drugs have been confiscated at that building.
Today’s raid started at 5am when authorities followed up on information about drugs being stored at abandoned hot spots.
The drugs included 30g of rock cocaine, 290g of tik, 62.5 mandrax tablets, five parcels of dagga, and five bankies of dagga.
The Metro Police Department has thanked members of the public who provided the tip offs that led to these successful raids. Â
