Support vulnerable Covid-19 children.

The Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust are appealing to individuals and businesses to support their Specialised Care Fund, which will provide them with resources to deal with the needs of children during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust is a registered NPO, which was established in 2001 with Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and Leah Tutu as the patrons. Its sole objective is to support mother and child patients at Tygerberg Hospital.

The hospital admits more than 44 000 children each year. It treats the largest number of babies in South Africa weighing under 1.5kg.

The trust is now rallying support for Tygerberg Hospital, which is at the epicentre of the province’s response to the virus, so it can minimise the impact on fragile communities and especially children.
