The Sunflower Fund will host their 11th annual golf day on Tuesday May 7 at the Val de Vie Estate in Paarl.Â
Each golfer will receive headgear while the top four four-ball teams will receive prizes. The day starts with a shotgun start, and carts are included in the four-ball free.Â
Golfers will be treated to dinner and wine sponsored by Baarsma Wine ending with a mini auction. The Sunflower Fund is a donor recruitment centre and stem cell registry, maintaining a registry of potential donors committed to helping anyone in need of a life saving stem cell transplant.Â
Funds raised from this event will enable the fund to cover the costs of education and awareness about the need and the process to become a blood stem cell donor, as well as to cover the cost of the HLA tissue-typing test involved in the recruitment of donors.Â
