The Western Cape Department of Social Development honoured 196 of its staff, some with more than 40 years experience under their belts, at a long-service awards ceremony on Wednesday April 12, where Social Development MEC Albert Fritz urged them to mentor young social workers facing complex challenges from the “increasingly violent nature of the cases we respond to lately”.
The Northern News Kuils River/Brackenfell/Kraaifontein (formerly the Tygertalk Kuils River) was established in 1996 and rebranded as the Northern News Kuils River/Brackenfell/Kraaifontein in 2015. This long established popular community title includes the key shopping centres Zevenwacht Mall, Kraaifontein Shopping Centre and Cape Gate Shopping Centre within its distribution area.
