Over 20 people enjoyed a scribble art session held on Tuesday as part of a holiday programme by two Kraaifontein non-profit organisations.
The workshop held in Northpine was attended by children aged 4 to 16 and three adults.
The session was run by No Stop director Charlene Miles, a community art facilitator, in partnership with Youth Clouds of Heaven.
The theme of the day was “Scribble Meditation”.
Participants were allowed to engage in free-form drawing.
“This form of art meditation helps in calming the mind, fostering creativity, and reducing stress. It is particularly effective for children, but adults can also benefit greatly from this mindful practice.
“By allowing their thoughts to flow onto paper without judgment, participants can experience a sense of freedom and relaxation, positively impacting their mindset and overall well-being,” said Ms Miles.
