School blitz

■ Police and law enforcement officers visited several classrooms and searched children for illegal items during a surprise blitz at Scottsville High School on Wednesday March 22. Principal Henry Hockey said he had called for regular and random blitzes at the school to make pupils aware that “this is a place of learning” and anything they brought to school that disrupted learning would not be tolerated.
