Goodwood police arrested two men for robbing a man of his wallet and R1 000 cash on Monday August 1.
Goodwood police spokesman Captain Waynne Theunis said the man had been walking in Voortrekker Road, at about 6.30pm, when two men threatened to hit him.
The following day, while the man had been walking the same route, he had spotted the muggers, said Captain Theunis. He had flagged down a passing police van and pointed the men out to constables Lowellyn Brandt and Celeste April, who arrested them.
Captain Theunis said the man’s wallet had not been recovered. The men appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Thursday August 4 on charges of robbery.
