Police are searching for two thieves who broke into Cape Gate mall at the weekend.
According to police spokesman, Captain FC van Wyk, the thieves broke a shop window and entered just before 9pm on Saturday, June 27.
They grabbed clothing, electronics and knives. Mall security chased the intruders and called for all gates to be closed, but the thieves drove through the gates in a white Toyota Fortuner, which was later found abandoned along Botfontein Road in Kraaifontein, with all the stolen goods in it.
“The goods were recovered and handed in at Kraaifontein police station,” Captain Van Wyk said.
No arrests have been made.
