A 47-year-old man was arrested after he was allegedly caught with a stolen bicycle in Koelenhof Road by an armed response officer in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man had been walking in the direction of Bloekombos when he was apprehended while pushing the BMX, said Fidelity ADT Security spokeswoman, Verena Hulme.
The police were notified and arrested the man after he could not explain how he had come by the bike or why he had a backpack full of copper pipes, she said.
