Police arrested a 26-year-old Kraaifontein woman last week for breaking into the garage of a Brackenfell home.
According to Brackenfell police spokeswoman Captain Erica Crous, the homeowner was busy inside his Disa Street home in Protea Heights when he heard a knock at the front door, just before 11am on Wednesday May 15.
He went to look on the security monitor and saw a woman at the door.
He did not open the door, but noticed her move to the back of his garage. The man called a neighbour for help and together they confronted the woman in the garage. She had a bag of clothing in her hands.
She had forced open the door at the back of the garage to get in.
The man’s security company called the police who arrested the woman.
