Parow charity launches Christmas food drive

People Against Poverty is collecting non-perishable food for the needy.

A Parow charity is appealing for donations of non-perishable foods for the needy this festive season.

People Against Poverty supports 20 families in Klipkop and Parow Valley with weekly meals, says its founder, Sunette Louw.

The organisation is collecting instant porridge, tea, sugar, long-life milk, powdered milk, soya, rice, tomato paste, tin fish, bully beef and other foodstuffs as well as toiletries to distribute to the families from Sunday December 17.

Donations can be dropped off at 141 Duncan Street, Klipkop, until Saturday December 16. Call Ms Louw at 068 217 0126 for details.
